5,000-lumen white video flood, with colour modes for more creative control.

The Hydra 5000 combines a 5,000-lumen white flood with CRI 90 and red, green, blue, UV and RGB modes. Use the white flood for nearby underwater video subjects, then switch modes when you want to experiment with coloured lighting. Its push-button rotary dial keeps brightness and mode selection on one control.

Light up a wide frame with a 120° white flood and dial in the output for your subject. You get 5,000 lumens of continuous white light for video, plus 6,000 lumens in white Burst mode for still-photo setups. Rated runtime is 40 minutes at full power or 60 minutes at 80% brightness, giving you a clear choice between maximum output and longer light-on time.

RC02 Remote Control Ready

Keep your hands on the camera rig while you fine-tune your lighting. Pair the Hydra 5000 with our optional RC02 remote control to adjust light power without reaching out to the light.

Push-button rotary control

Rotate the dial to adjust brightness through 11 levels, and press the button to cycle through white, red, green, blue, UV, manual RGB and automatic RGB. The battery indicator shows the remaining charge range. At low battery or high internal temperature, the light can reduce output automatically.

CRI 90 at 5600K

Capture the colour and detail of nearby subjects with CRI 90 white light at 5600K. Adjust your light position and camera white balance to suit the water and the shot.

The Full Colour Range

• White (5000 lm): The main video mode, with a 120° flood rated both on land and underwater. Aim and position the light for your subject and camera field of view

• Red: A nighttime focus and observation light that helps avoid startling fish and critters with bright white light

• Green: Get creative with colour, or use it as a focus light with cameras that prefer green illumination

• Blue: A coloured-light option for creative shooting and fluorescence setups

• UV: An option for fluorescence experiments. Results depend on the subject and suitable viewing or camera filters

• Manual RGB: Dial in your own mix for creative video

Burst Mode — Fiber-Optic Triggered

Switch to 6,000-lumen white Burst mode for still-photo setups, while keeping 5,000-lumen continuous output for video. Check your camera and housing’s fibre-optic triggering connection when building a burst setup.
